Facility:
This facility is a Level 1 trauma center with a Level 3 pediatric designation, providing comprehensive medical services to the region. The hospital offers state-of-the-art surgical facilities and a supportive professional environment for healthcare providers.
Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery - General
Job Details:
• Coverage needed for maternity leave from May - August 2026
• Schedule: 7 days on, 2 weeks off
• 12-hour in-house day shifts (6a-6p)
• 2nd call backup for nights (6p-6a)
• Provider will be covering emergency general surgery (no trauma coverage)
• Must be board certified in General Surgery
• ATLS and BLS certifications required
• Adult general surgery skills required
• Laparoscopic surgery experience required, including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and Nissen fundoplication
• Liver surgery expertise required
• GI endoscopy skills required (upper, lower, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy)
• Must have active Montana license or IMLC
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90 days
• Pediatric general surgery experience preferred
• Lodging recommendation: Home2Suites (ask for Billings Clinic discount)
• Nearest airport: Billings Logan International Airport
