A hospital system with two locations in Georgia is seeking a locum tenens General Surgery physician for a call-only assignment from February 2, 2026 through June 30, 2026. Adult, pediatric, and neonatal general surgery

Trauma coverage

Laparoscopic procedures

Appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, Nissen fundoplication

Head and neck surgery, including thyroid

Chest wall and pleural procedures

Breast surgery

Obstetric and gynecologic surgery, including C-sections, D&C, hysterectomy

Liver and hepatobiliary procedures

GI endoscopy (upper, lower, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy)

Minor orthopedics and hand surgery

Ventilation management

Chest tube insertion

Central line and PA catheter placement

Laser-certified procedures

Vascular surgery, including aneurysm repairs, arterial bypass, and AV shunts

Plastic surgery procedures

Pediatric surgical procedures as applicable

Requirements

Board-certified or board-eligible General Surgeon

Active Georgia medical license

Ability to meet rapid in-house call response requirements
