This 162-bed medical center serves as a Level 3 Trauma Certified facility providing essential healthcare services to Roswell and surrounding communities. The hospital offers comprehensive emergency services with strong support systems for visiting providers.
Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery - General
Job Details:
• General Surgery Call for ER/Trauma and Inpatient Coverage - no outpatient clinic responsibilities • Schedule: Thursday 2/12/2026 at 7AM to Monday 3/2/2026 • Approximately 1-5 patient encounters per shift • Must have current New Mexico License, New Mexico controlled substance license and DEA • Level 3 Trauma facility requiring trauma surgery experience • Board Certification Eligible (certification not required) • ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications required • Perform general surgery procedures for both adult and pediatric patients • Proficiency in laparoscopic procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and hernioplasty • Experience with chest wall/pleural procedures required • GI endoscopy skills required for both upper and lower procedures, including colonoscopy • Must be capable of chest tube insertion, central line insertion, and PA catheter placement • Experience with vascular access devices preferred • Skills in managing intestinal and biliary atresias, abdominal wall defects, and umbilical hernias • Comfortable with diaphragmatic hernia, imperforate anus, and PDA ligation procedures • Emergency privileges are an option • Lodging recommendations: B&J Hotels or Marriott Hotels in Roswell with corporate rate available
