Facility:
This is a Level 4 trauma facility that provides comprehensive surgical services to the community. The medical center offers a supportive working environment with a focus on quality patient care and professional collaboration across departments.
Opportunity:
Board Certified/Eligible - General Surgery
Job Details:
• Alternating monthly call schedule with Month 1 consisting of 10 consecutive days of call covering two weekends and the weekdays between • Month 2 requires extended weekend coverage from Thursday/Friday night through Tuesday morning • Average 4 patient encounters per shift • Providers with GI coverage capabilities strongly preferred • ERCP coverage capabilities would be ideal • Must be comfortable performing general surgery for both adult and pediatric patients • Required skills include laparoscopic appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and hernioplasty • Nissen Fundoplication capability preferred • GI endoscopy experience preferred, including upper endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy • Must maintain active Texas medical license • 30-day credentialing timeframe • Position starts February 13, 2026 with potential for permanent placement • Fellowship trained candidates welcome
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
