Locums General Surgeon needed in Portland, OR vicinity
*Location: Portland suburbs
*Reason for coverage: Scheduled Clinic Hours + Call (Beeper)
*Required response time: 15 minutes
*Required credentials: Board Certification, active medical license (may have time to license in OR for this job as emergency privileges are an option), clean malpractice and NPDB, DEA, ABLS, ACLS, BLS
*Patients per shift: 1-2 outpatient, 7-8 inpatient
*Support Staff: 2 PA/NPs
*No requirement to supervise Advance Practice Providers
*Estimated Credentialing Timeframe (Days) 60-120
*Emergency Privileges are available
*Skills Required: General Surgery, adult, laparoscopic, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty
*Skills Preferred: pediatric, Nissen Fundoplication, Head/neck (including thyroid), chest wall/pleural procedures, GI endoscopy-upper, lower, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy
*Additional Pediatric procedures preferred: umbilical defects, hernia
*Travel and Lodging provided
*Malpractice Insurance provided
