This southeast Florida regional health system is seeking a board certified/board eligible Cardiovascular Surgeon to join an established hospital employed Cardiovascular Surgery practice in Broward County, FL.(Fort Lauderdale area). This is a hospital employed position that would work with two state-of-art cardiac programs in Broward County.
Medical Center A is becoming a leader in comprehensive cardiac care in South Florida. Since the opening of the Heart and Vascular Institute in 2010, the Medical Center is the only Cardiac Level II Licensed Program in Northwest Broward County. The program has allowed for growth and further enhancements to their existing services including a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, an Electrophysiology Lab, and the latest coronary imaging services. Facilities include dedicated state-of-the-art open heart suite and cardiac catheterization labs equipped with cutting edge medical technology. Westside Regional also has Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) which is staffed by a specialized CVOR team and is backed by 24-hour hospitalist and intensivists care physicians.
The Cardiovascular program at Medical Center B is a comprehensive program that offers a full range of diagnostic modalities, medical and surgical interventional procedures, rehabilitation, preventative care and additional medical and support services for patients with heart disorders. Facilities include dedicated state-of-the-art open heart suite and cardiac catheterization labs equipped with the latest medical technology. The Medical Center also has Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) which is staffed by a specialized CVOR team and is backed by 24-hour hospitalist and intensivists care physicians.
