Description
Noor Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for hospital-based locum coverage in Paducah, Kentucky, over the upcoming holiday period.
This opportunity has a strong adult cardiac surgery focus, with thoracic experience preferred. The surgical team includes dedicated cardiac anesthesia support, experienced first-assist staff, and a collaborative ICU team.
Available coverage blocks:

December 24–28, 2026 — first preference

December 28, 2026–January 4, 2027
Physicians must be available for one complete coverage block.
Job Responsibilities
CABG with arterial revascularization using internal mammary and radial arteries.
Redo cardiac surgery cases.
Heart valve repair and replacement.
Provide general thoracic surgical services, including:
Tube thoracostomy.
Tracheostomy.
Bronchoscopy.
VATS decortication and lung biopsy.
Pericardial window procedures.
Manage high-risk cardiac surgery patients in the ICU.
Perform Impella insertion, removal, and bailout procedures.
Medically manage critically ill patients.
Provide structural heart procedure support in the hybrid OR and cath lab.
Document patient care in EPIC.
Qualifications
Active Kentucky medical license preferred; physicians who need to obtain a Kentucky license may be considered.
Current BLS certification required.
Clean background required.
Demonstrated experience with Impella insertion, removal, and bailout required.
Structural heart procedure support experience in a hybrid OR or cath lab required.
Must be available for one of the specified coverage blocks.
Working Hours
Schedule: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM.
Coverage options: December 24–28 or December 28–January 4.
Weekend and holiday coverage required.
Approximately 4–7 shifts per month for ongoing coverage needs.
