Locums Cardiovascular Surgeon coverage is needed in Joplin, Missouri for initial coverage dates including holiday coverage from December 18, 2026-early Jan 2026.
Coverage needs are ongoing for 1-2 wks/month throughout 2027.
Coverage needs are ongoing for 1-2 wks/month throughout 2027.
Assignment Details:

Rates: highly negotiable daily rate (holiday rate is standard 1.5x)

CABG cases annually: Approximately 130 (TAVR cases similar in volume)
-
Schedule: 6 to 8 working hrs/day combined with inpatient surgical call

Heart team: 5 Interventional Cardiologists, 1 EP Cardiologist, 2 General Cardiologists, and 2 Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgeons

CV OR team: Anesthesia, perfusion, and CVICU support

CVORs: 1 hybrid room, 2 dedicated ORs equipped with DaVinci Xi technology

Shared call model
- APP support: APPs are rounding, assisting with consults
- EVH: SFAs will harvest vein
- EMR: Phasing into Epic
- Trauma Level: II
Flights, malpractice coverage, rental vehicle, and mileage reimbursement will be provided.
Qualifications
Active MO state license, or IMLC LOQ
BC or truly BE within 5 years of residency
Credentialing time: 30-60 days
