Assignment Highlights

Shared call and weekend rounding

Dedicated cardiovascular operating rooms

Strong APP, anesthesia, perfusion, and CVICU support

Adult cardiac and vascular surgery; thoracic experience preferred
Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency)

Active Missouri license or IMLC eligibility

Local or driving-distance candidates preferred

Clean malpractice history preferred

Job Responsibilities
In this role, you will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, pulmonologists, oncologists, and intensive care specialists to provide exceptional, comprehensive operative care. While the primary focus of this position is advanced cardiovascular surgery, the ability to manage and perform essential thoracic interventions is highly beneficial to meet our community's diverse clinical needs.
Qualifications
Active MO State License or IMLC.
Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible (Certification must be obtained within 5 years of residency).
Minimum Years Experience (if applicable): None Required
Flu vaccination: Required or Need Medical or religious exemption.
Covid vaccination: Required or Need Medical or religious exemption.
Certifications: ACLS - Required if requesting conscious sedation privileges.
This job requires candidates to enter their hours in the Vemsta platform.
Working Hours
The current volume is about 130 CABG annually. TAVR volume is similar.
