Leadership Opportunity
The Director will provide both clinical and strategic leadership for the cardiac surgery program, with responsibility for:

Academic appointments with Wayne State University School of Medicine and Michigan State University College of Human Medicine may be available based on experience, scholarly accomplishments, and professional standing.

Required Qualifications
- Board Certification required
- Cardiac Surgery Fellowship required
- Minimum 5+ years of Cardiac Surgery experience required
- BLS required
- DEA required
- CSR/CDS required
- Michigan medical license highly preferred
- Previous management experience preferred
Practice Environment
The position is based at a 772-bed Level I Trauma Center within a large integrated health system.
The cardiac surgery program operates in a tertiary-care environment with multidisciplinary clinical support and access to system-wide resources for complex and high-acuity patient care.

Credentialing
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90–120 days.
Candidates who meet the clinical and leadership requirements should be prepared to complete the required hospital and health-system credentialing process.
