The Physician must be available for the complete coverage block from December 24, 2026 to January 4, 2027

Position Details:
Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric
Setting: Hospital Based
Responsibilities: Adult cardiac surgery including CABG and heart valve repair/replacement; general thoracic procedures; ICU management of high-risk cases; structural heart procedure support in Hybrid OR/Cath Lab
Required Procedures: CABG; arterial revascularization using internal mammary arteries and radial artery; redo cases; heart valve repair/replacement; Impella insertion/removal/bailout; structural heart support; tube thoracostomy; tracheostomy; bronchoscopy; VATS decortication/lung biopsy; pericardial window
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: First Assist with Endoscopic Saphenous Vein Harvest experience; dedicated CT surgery anesthesia team; collaborative ICU team
Days Per Month: 4-7 shifts per month
On-Call/Weekends: 24-hour call, 7a-7a; weekend coverage required
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified and BLS Certified
- Kentucky License preferred; candidates needing to obtain a KY license will be considered
- Clean background
- Must have Impella support experience and structural heart support experience in Hybrid OR/Cath Lab
