Practice Setting: Hospital-Based
Start Date: ASAP
Coverage: Minimum 2 weeks/month
Schedule: Monday-Friday, clinic/OR hours with night and weekend call
Call: 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM
Trauma Level: Level I
Patient Population: Adult
EMR: Epic
OR Availability: 2 dedicated CV Surgery ORs during daytime hours
Average Volume: Approximately 1 case per weekend
Credentialing: Approximately 90-120 days
Adult Cardiac Surgery
General Thoracic Surgery
CABG
Heart Valve Repair/Replacement
Tube Thoracostomy
Pericardial Window
Thoracotomy
Lung Biopsy
Lung Resection
Pneumonectomy
Thoracotomy Decortication
Mediastinal Surgery
Monday-Friday: Clinic/OR coverage with night call
Additional: Weekend call coverage
Call: Night and weekend coverage
Active Michigan Medical License required
Full Michigan licensure required; IMLC not accepted
BLS, ACLS & PALS
Clean malpractice and license history highly preferred
Full availability for the requested coverage
NPDB Self-Query: Required at presentation and must be pulled within 30 days

The Facility in Michigan is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide ongoing locum coverage. The ideal physician will be comfortable working independently across adult cardiac and general thoracic surgery.Position Details
