Job description
We are seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a locum tenens position in Memphis, Tennessee. This is a call-only assignment in an inpatient acute care setting. Please see below for more information.
- EMR: Cerner
Job Responsibilities
Cover CVICU, ICU, Cardiac Step-Down Unit, and other hospital areas as needed
Perform coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
Perform aortic and mitral valve replacement and repair (AVR/MVR)
Perform thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR)
Perform endovascular vein surgery and grafting (EVSG)
Perform carotid endarterectomy
Perform peripheral vascular disease (PVD) procedures
Perform pericardial window
Perform additional cardiothoracic surgical procedures as indicated
Manage a caseload of approximately 10 patients per shift
Admissions required
Rounding on assigned patients only
No supervision of advanced practice providers required
No resident or teaching responsibilities
Qualifications
Active Tennessee license or IMLC eligibility
ACLS
Working Hours
24-hour on-call shifts, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
