Location: Grand Forks, ND
Start Date: September 24, 2026 – October 2, 2026
Orientation: September 24
Coverage: September 25 – October 2
Schedule: 24-hour call, 7:00 AM–7:00 AM
Opportunity Highlights
- Exciting short-term Cardiothoracic Surgery locum opportunity
- Primarily inpatient coverage with preference for providers comfortable with both inpatient and outpatient care
- Full 24-hour call coverage throughout the assignment
- Approximately 1–2 surgeries per weekday, depending on volume
- Inpatient rounding and call responsibilities
- Outpatient consultations in the afternoons following surgery
- Strong clinical support including CT Surgery APP, LPN, RN, and full OR staff
Surgical Scope
Experience with the following is required:
- CABG
- Valve repair/replacement
- Pericardial window
- Lung resection
- Vascular procedures, including endarterectomies
Requirements
- Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon
- Board certification accepted through:
- American Board
- American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
- Canadian Board with membership in the Royal College of Physicians or Royal College of Surgeons
- Doctorate in the applicable medical field from an accredited institution
- Comfortable managing inpatient cardiothoracic surgery and 24-hour call coverage
