Work Details:
• EMR/Charting Software: Epic
• Procedures: locum will be with 2 surgeons and 5 surgical APPS. Their 3rd surgeon is retiring 7/31. Locum will need to assist with Call and covering Piedmont Athens Hospital (427 beds). Needs to be able to handle cardiac surgery (emergent CABGs, Aortic disease, etc) There are about 5 hospital encounters per day or 25 HE per month. On occasion, rounding can mean running the entire list with an APP who has seen the patient and has all data (subjective and objective data for the day). EX: Doing this on a Sunday after seeing patient on Saturday, and if there are no clinical changes in the patients. Client would require the covering surgeon to have open and free communication with the on-call APP
Requirements:
• Board Certifications Req’d/Preferred: BC CT Surgery
BE is considered—Fellowship trained at certified American program with training in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery
• State License(s): GA or IMLC
• DEA Req’d?: Yes
Credentialing Timeframe: 120 days
