A reputable hospital system in Grand Forks, ND is actively seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon for upcoming vacation coverage. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled surgeon looking for a high-acuity practice environment with strong OR support and consistent surgical volume.
📍 Location: Grand Forks, North Dakota
📅 Coverage Dates:
• 07/24/2026 – 08/03/2026
• 09/25/2026 – 10/12/2026
🏥 Setting: Primarily Inpatient (Preference for inpatient + outpatient coverage)
⏰ Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
📞 Call Coverage: Full call coverage throughout assignment

Job Responsibilities
• Inpatient rounding and call coverage
• Cardiothoracic surgeries and emergent consults
• Outpatient consults following surgical cases
• Approximately 1–2 surgeries per weekday depending on census and need
Qualifications
✔ CABG
✔ Valve Repair & Replacement
✔ Pericardial Window Procedures
✔ Lung Resection
✔ Vascular Procedures Including Endarterectomies
Qualifications:
✔ Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon
✔ American Board Certification, AOA Certification, or Canadian Board Certification accepted
✔ Active ND license preferred (licensure candidates may be considered depending on availability)
Support Staff Includes:
👨⚕️ CT Surgery APP
👩⚕️ Clinic RN & LPN
🏥 Experienced OR Staff
