We are seeking a Cardiovascular/Thoracic Surgeon for a locum tenens position in Idaho Falls, ID. This opportunity involves providing scheduled on-call coverage at an acute care hospital. Please see below for more information.
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital
EMR: Meditech
Job Responsibilities
Perform open heart surgery including CABG and aortic dissections
Cover all adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases as needed
Work alongside a full surgical support team including NP/PA first-assistant, two surgical techs, RN circulator, and anesthesiologist
Collaborate with ICU and step-down nursing staff for post-operative patient management
Qualifications
Active Idaho medical license required
Active Idaho DEA required
Active Idaho CSR/BNDD required
Working Hours
Shift: 7a-7a (24 hours)
Practice Setting: Inpatient
Scheduled Coverage Dates:
August 13-17, 2026
September 10-14, 2026
November 5-9, 2026
December 3-7, 2026
December 31, 2026
