Aya Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for locum tenens coverage at a Level I Trauma Center in Savannah, GA. This is a high-acuity, hospital-based role at a large tertiary referral center.
This facility serves as a major regional hub with advanced cardiac programs and complex surgical cases. Ideal candidates will be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with strong support staff and resources.
Job Responsibilities
Inpatient consults, rounding, and surgical coverage
Manage complex cardiothoracic cases including trauma
Work alongside hospital-based RNs, PAs, and ICU teams
Support a high-volume CV surgery program
Qualifications
Active Georgia license required
DEA required
Experience with MitraClip, TAVR, thoracic, and aortic repair required
Working Hours
Sunday–Sunday coverage blocks
Minimum 20 days/month inpatient coverage
Open dates: May 30 – June 10, 2026 (ongoing need)
Skills
Experience in high-acuity / Level I Trauma settings
Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex cases
Team-oriented with excellent communication
