We are seeking a Cardiovascular (Cardiothoracic) Surgeon for a locum opportunity in Lebanon, PA. This role offers weekend-focused 24-hour call coverage (3 weekends per month) in a hospital-based setting.
The position involves managing urgent cardiac surgical cases with support from the care team, making it ideal for providers looking for high-impact, focused coverage.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage urgent surgical cases, including cath lab to OR transitions
• Evaluate and stabilize patients; perform surgery as needed
• Support ICU-to-discharge patient care coordination
• Act as backup surgeon for consults and emergency cases
• Treat adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Document using Epic EMR
Qualifications
• Active Pennsylvania license required (or willing to obtain)
• DEA required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Experience in acute cardiac surgical care preferred
Working Hours
• Shift: 24-hour call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule:
• Friday 12:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
• Coverage: 3 weekends per month
• Contract: Ongoing
