We are actively seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for an ongoing locum opportunity in Pennsylvania. This role offers a mix of clinic, surgical procedures, and call coverage, working alongside an experienced team with APP support.
This is an excellent opportunity for surgeons looking for consistent monthly coverage (1–2 weeks/month) in a high-acuity hospital setting.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide outpatient clinic care and inpatient rounding
• Manage urgent hospital cases and consults
• Participate in TAVR procedures and structural heart clinic collaboration
• Handle night call and 24-hour call coverage
• Work closely with APP support and multidisciplinary teams
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation
Qualifications
• Active Pennsylvania license (or willing to obtain)
• DEA required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Experience with hospital-based surgical care preferred
Working Hours
• Clinic Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Night Call: 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• 24-Hour Call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
Schedule Includes:
• Clinic coverage on selected weeks (May & June blocks)
• Night call coverage on assigned dates
• 24-hour weekend call shifts
• Coverage need: 1–2 weeks per month

• Ability to balance clinic, OR, and inpatient responsibilities
• Effective collaboration with surgical teams and support staff
