Opportunity:
Advanced Practice - Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery
Job Details:
• Provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgery support with 5-8 patient encounters per shift
• Work clinic/hospital schedule Monday-Friday from 7am-3pm
• Function in multiple capacities: OR assist, patient rounding, and clinic duties all within the hospital setting
• Perform radical and endoscopic vein harvesting procedures
• Interpret EKGs, X-rays, and laboratory results
• Manage ECMO, IABP, and Impella devices
• Provide ICU and step-down patient management
• Share call responsibilities 1:2 with another PA (50/50 split)
• Weekday call coverage from 3pm-7am during rotation
• Weekend call coverage from 3pm Friday to 7am Monday
• Call back frequency approximately 1-2 times per month
• Must hold active California PA license and CA DEA
• Board certification required with ACLS and BLS certifications
• Guaranteed 8 hours per day with overtime after 8 hours
• 3-5 years of cardiothoracic surgery experience highly preferred
• Immediate credentialing available
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
