Facility:
This facility is a well-established medical center providing comprehensive cardiovascular and thoracic surgical services to the community. With a 12-bed department and Level 2 trauma designation, the center offers advanced surgical care and maintains high standards of patient treatment.
Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery - Cardiovascular, Thoracic Surgery - Cardio Thoracic Surgery, Surgery - Vascular
Job Details:
• Position serves as 1st assistant to CVT surgeons on heart cases
• Cover ER call for cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular specialties
• Manage approximately 5 patient encounters per shift
• Board certification required with ACLS and BLS certifications
• Experience in general surgery procedures preferred, including laparoscopic surgeries
• Skills in cardiac/thoracic procedures preferred, including CABG (on and off pump)
• Experience with valvular repair/replacement, aneurysm repair, and lung resection
• Vascular surgery experience preferred including aneurysm repair and bypass procedures
• Ability to perform chest tube insertion, central line insertion, and PA catheter placement
• Experience with ventilation management and TAVR procedures preferred
• Valid California medical license required (must be licensed in CA)
• Credentialing assistance available with temporary coverage options
• Fellowship trained (1 year)
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
