Facility:
This facility is a prominent medical center in the Central Valley region offering advanced cardiovascular and surgical services. The hospital features a 12-bed department with state-of-the-art surgical facilities and a Level 2 trauma designation, providing comprehensive care to the community.
Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery - General, Surgery - Cardiovascular
Job Details:
• Position as 1st assist to CVT surgeons on heart cases (can be filled by either a CVT or general surgeon)
• No office time - all surgical cases performed at the medical center in Modesto
• Monday through Friday schedule with no regular call responsibilities
• No rounding requirements
• Weekend ER CVT call coverage needed
• Candidate should be capable of performing cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures
• Average of 2 patient encounters per shift
• Required skills include general surgery for adults, pediatric, and neonatal patients
• Trauma surgery experience required
• Must be able to perform chest wall/pleural procedures
• Experience with chest tube insertion, central line insertion, and PA catheter placement required
• Vascular surgery experience preferred, including thoracic aneurysm repairs, arterial bypass, peripheral procedures, vascular access devices, and AV shunt
• Board certification required with ACLS and BLS certifications
• Must have active California medical license
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 60 days
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
