Cardiothoracic Surgeon – Locum Tenens Opportunity
Location: Richmond, IN

Dates Needed:

• 24 hour call shifts, 7am to 7am.
• November 13, 2025 (7:00 AM) – November 18, 2025 (7:00 AM)
• January 8, 2026 (7:00 AM) – January 13, 2026 (7:00 AM)
  Orientation: Wednesday, November 12, 2025 (7:30 AM – 5:00 PM)

Overview:
Ascend Medical Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon with TAVR experience for locum coverage at a leading regional hospital. This is a high-acuity role requiring full coverage for the specified dates.

Responsibilities:

• Morning surgical schedule; afternoon office schedule
• Inpatient rounding and ICU oversight for 2–5 post-op patients
• On-call for urgent CABG/AVR procedures from Cath Lab, ER, and inpatient units
• Review of Cath Lab films upon request from cardiologists
• Emergency procedures only; no scheduled elective surgeries during coverage
• Inpatient call only (no office call)

• 30-bed ICU/CCU (10 beds reserved)

Requirements:

• Must be available for both coverage periods
• Clean background required for November start
• TAVR experience is mandatory
• Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Active medical license (or ability to obtain via IMLC LOQ)
