Facility:

This Level 2 trauma center features 55 beds in the department and provides comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical services. Job Details:

• Weekend coverage position: Friday 6AM until Monday 7AM
• Friday responsibilities include rounding with surgeon, vein harvesting, first assisting in OR, and performing procedures if skillset permits (A-line, central line, thoracentesis, chest tube placement)
• Saturday and Sunday involve daily rounding with surgeon
• After completing rounds/orders/notes on weekends, provider may leave the hospital (in-house call not required)
• CT surgeon takes all first calls (nights/weekends)
• During day hours, PA/NP fields pages regarding patient care
• Possibility of being called back for emergencies or additional patient assistance
• Average of 15 patient encounters per shift
• Position requires ACLS and BLS certification
• Board certification eligible minimum requirement
• Fellowship trained preferred
• Start date: June 6, 2025 with ongoing assignment potential

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
