Specialty:
- Cardiovascular Surgery
Location:
- MyMichigan Medical Center Midland
Clinic, Call, or Both:
- Outpatient visits
- Surgery call
- Inpatient rounding
Schedule:
- June 13: Orientation
- June 16, 17: Proctoring
- June 18 - on-going
- APPs take first call (ICU, Hospital floors, outpatients and ED)
- Immediate need and ongoing until perm is on board
- Inpt 70% / Outpt 30%
Cases/Procedures:
- CABGs
- Bread and butter cases
- TAVRs are scheduled for Tuesday, can operate the other days, will work an outpatient clinic in as well. Can be flexible whether it is half day clinic couple days a week after a case or a full day clinic and only operate the other days. This is truly better as a discussion point on the phone.
Clinical support:
- Full CVOR support
- Anesthesia - 2 CV anesthesiologists on staff
- APPs take first call and vein harvesting
EMR and Dictation Tools:
- EPIC/Dragon
Required experience, training, and certifications:
- ACLS
Case Logs Required:
- 50 Open Heart procedures within the last 12 months
Consider IMLC or waiting for a license:
- Must have an active MI license and MI DEA or IMLC LOQ
