IU Health Ball Memorial Physicians is looking to recruit a Cardiovascular Surgeon to join our collegial multi-specialty group in Muncie, Indiana! IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital is the 2nd largest hospital in the IU Health System. Quality and Collaboration are very desirable skills to complement the existing providers! Here you will be able to do both cardiac and thoracic cases including robotics.

Employment Opportunity Details:

  • No local competition
  • Collaborative and productive employed Cardiology group
  • Very limited after-hours demand, weekend rounding with PA team helps support the on-call physician
  • 20-25 outpatients per week & 10 inpatients per week. Numbers expected to increase with growing TAVR program
  • Procedures: CABG, Valves, TAVR, Robotic Thoracic Surgery, Wedge Resections
  • Teaching & Research opportunities with 3 residencies onsite and a full research department
  • Sign on Bonus, Competitive Salary, Stipend available for those finishing training

Qualifications:

  • Must have M.D., D.O., or equivalent education
  • Completed a cardiovascular surgery fellowship
  • American BC/BE in Surgery
  • Collaborate and successfully interact with a multi-disciplinary team to promote high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal skills and clear written and verbal communication skills.
