Job description
Bring your breast surgical expertise to a growing program in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Because demand is rising, a 396-bed tertiary care hospital with a Level II trauma center is seeking a fellowship-trained Breast Surgeon. The hospital is part of a regional health network serving northeast Indiana. It offers a collaborative environment, strong referral sources, and leadership invested in growing its breast program.
The role:
- Practice 100% breast surgery, Monday through Friday
- Split your week between 2 OR days and 3 clinic days
- Treat benign and malignant breast disease, including lumpectomy, mastectomy, and sentinel node biopsy
- Grow oncoplastic and nipple-sparing techniques with access to robotic surgery
- Take light call, with no general surgery call
- Join a multidisciplinary tumor board with medical oncology, radiation oncology, plastics, and breast imaging
- Work with a nurse navigator, APP, and clinic staff
- Use Cerner with Dragon dictation
Compensation and benefits:
- $500k+ total compensation, with flexibility based on the candidate
- Up to $215K in recruitment incentives, including a sign-on bonus, student loan repayment, and relocation
- 4 weeks of PTO and 5 days of CME & stipend
- Paid malpractice with tail coverage, plus Indiana Patient's Compensation Fund protection
