Breast Surgical Oncology Opportunity in Ashland, KY
A growing oncology program in Eastern Kentucky is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Breast Surgical Oncologist to join an established and expanding cancer care team. This is a full-time, hospital-based opportunity focused exclusively on breast surgery with no general surgery call responsibilities.
Practice Details
Full-time employed position
Breast surgery focus only – no general surgery call
Hospital-based outpatient practice
Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Balanced schedule with 2–3 days in the OR and 2–3 days in clinic
Average patient volume: 20+ per day
Service area population of approximately 750,000
EMR: Epic
Clinical Responsibilities
Perform breast surgical oncology procedures
Evaluate and manage patients with breast disease and breast cancer
Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards
Collaborate closely with medical and radiation oncology teams
Develop individualized treatment plans for complex cases
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR
Support & Resources
Established breast surgery program with existing fellowship-trained surgeon
Dedicated breast imaging team including fellowship-trained specialists
Collaborative oncology team including medical and radiation oncology
Access to advanced cancer treatment technologies and resources
Strong referral network and growing patient volume

Requirements
MD or DO degree
Fellowship-trained in Breast Surgical Oncology
Board Certified or Board Eligible
Eligible for Kentucky medical licensure
Strong interest in multidisciplinary cancer care
