Job description
Rheumatology Opportunity in Denver, Colorado
Join an established, physician-owned private rheumatology practice in the Denver metro where strong patient demand allows you to build a full practice quickly. This outpatient Rheumatology opportunity offers a clear 1-2 year partnership track, substantial earning potential, and the autonomy to grow your own patient base within a well-supported practice. With no hospital responsibilities, flexible scheduling, and an established referral pipeline, you can focus your time on patient care and practice growth.
Practice Overview
- You'll join four other established rheumatologists in an independent, physician-owned practice with more than 40 years in the Denver metro.
- Step into significant existing demand, including 150-200 new referrals weekly, 3,000+ patients waiting to be seen.
- Build your own practice with full billing, scheduling, and administrative support, plus in-house infusion services across three outpatient locations.
- Enjoy very light 1:5 phone call for your own patients only, with no hospital rounding, inpatient consults, or hospital call.
Schedule
- Choose a 4-day schedule with 10-hour days or a 5-day schedule with 8-hour days.
- Work 36 patient-facing hours plus 4 administrative hours each week.
- Expect approximately 20 patients per day once established, with the ability to increase volume based on your goals.
- Call is very rare and limited to a 1:5 phone rotation for your own patients and taken from home.
Compensation & Benefits
- Receive a $250,000-$275,000 guaranteed salary commensurate with experience, plus a $10,000 signing bonus and up to $5,000 in relocation assistance.
- Pursue partnership in 22 years, with the potential to become a partner quicker once your production surpasses your salary.
- Partners follow an eat-what-you-kill model, with $400,000-$600,000+ cited as a conservative earning range and top producers earning more.
- Malpractice coverage is provided, along with qualifying tail coverage and flexible PTO based on productivity.
Candidate Requirements
- You'll be board certified or board eligible in Rheumatology, with certification expected within three years of hire.
- Physicians at all career stages are considered, including graduating fellows.
- You should be comfortable seeing a broad patient mix, including autoimmune disease, osteoporosis, and fibromyalgia.
- An interest in partnership, practice ownership, and building a high-volume outpatient practice will position you well for success.
Community & Location Highlights
- Practice in Englewood with convenient access to the greater Denver metro.
- Enjoy a 4 or 5-day workweek with no inpatient responsibilities, leaving more time outside of medicine.
- Practice within an established three-location footprint across the Denver area.
- Take advantage of easy access to Denver-area amenities and the outdoor recreation Colorado is known for.
