We are seeking a Board Certified Rheumatologist for an in person locum tenens opportunity in Cambridge, MA. The physician will provide outpatient rheumatology clinic coverage along with rotating call responsibilities.
This is an onsite position with no remote or telehealth option. The practice includes two rheumatologists and more than 10 orthopedic providers, with approximately 18 patients seen per day.
Job Responsibilities
• Evaluate and manage rheumatologic conditions
• Conduct in person patient consultations and follow ups
• Provide rotating evening call coverage
• Provide weekend call coverage as scheduled
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic
• Collaborate with rheumatologists, orthopedic providers, and other healthcare professionals
Qualifications
• Board Certified in Rheumatology
• Active Massachusetts medical license required
• Current/recent direct supervisor reference required
• Flu vaccination required with no exceptions or waivers
• Prior travel/locum experience preferred
• Must be available to work 6 shifts weekly
Working Hours
Clinic hours are between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
• Variable clinic sessions
• Approximately 4 hours of patient facing time per session, either morning or afternoon
• Must be available for 6 shifts per week
• Rotating evening call coverage
• 1 in 3 weekend call requirement
