Clinical Physician - Rheumatologist

Job Summary

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Rheumatic Diseases, is seeking a rheumatologist to join our practices at UT Southwestern's Downtown Dallas location and Parkland Hospital. Duties include patient care activities in Rheumatology in addition to the teaching and training of medical students, house staff and fellows. Engagement in resident and medical student education, as well as clinical or scholarly activities that advance the field of Rheumatology.

Position Highlights

  • Primarily outpatient clinical practice focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of a broad spectrum of rheumatic and autoimmune diseases.
  • Opportunity to develop clinical interests in areas such as inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue disorders, vasculitis, osteoporosis, gout, and other complex rheumatologic conditions.
  • Join a nationally recognized academic health system with access to multidisciplinary collaboration across numerous medical and surgical specialties.
  • Engage in resident and medical student education through clinical teaching and mentorship opportunities.
  • Participate in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, scholarly activities, and other academic pursuits based on individual interests.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency
  • Board Certified by American Board of Internal Medicine
  • Completion of Rheumatology Fellowship
  • Eligible for Texas medical licensure
  • Strong commitment to clinical excellence, education, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
