Job description
The position involves overseeing an academic rheumatology program in the Bronx. The successful candidate will initially be hired as the director and will have the opportunity to build a team around them. The practice is vibrant, focusing on lupus, joint pain clinics, ultrasound, arthritis, and biologic infusion, with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage an average of 7 inpatient consults per day for the team.
- Lead a team consisting of rheumatologists, fellows, internal medicine residents, and medical students.
- Participate in teaching rounds, lectures, and other educational activities.
Requirements
- Must be fellowship trained in Rheumatology.
- 5 years of experience and leadership experience preferred.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified.
- Must have a New York State medical license.
