An established outpatient practice is seeking an experienced Rheumatology Physician (MD/DO) to provide expert, high quality care to adult patients with rheumatologic and autoimmune conditions.
The physician will independently evaluate & manage patients, develop individualized treatment plans, monitor therapeutic response, and collaborate with other providers to deliver comprehensive patient centered care.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive outpatient rheumatology care
• Perform in office minor procedures including joint aspirations & injections
• Develop individualized treatment plans & prescribe appropriate medications
• Monitor treatment effectiveness & potential adverse effects
• Review & interpret laboratory and imaging results
• Adjust treatment plans based on clinical findings & patient response
• Collaborate with internal specialties & referring providers
• Maintain accurate & timely documentation in the EMR
• Participate in a shared outpatient call schedule
• Contribute to clinical program development & quality improvement initiatives
• Educate patients regarding disease processes, lifestyle modifications & treatment strategies
Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of Rheumatology experience required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
• 2 to 3 years of physician experience preferred
• Current active & unrestricted Oregon medical license or ability to obtain
• Current DEA license
• Strong EMR & computer skills
• Excellent problem solving & multitasking abilities
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative healthcare team
Working Hours
• 40 hours per week
• 8 hour day shifts
• In person
• Outpatient setting
• Shared outpatient call schedule
• No inpatient responsibilities
