About the Position
* Establish and grow a new rheumatology service line within a rural healthcare setting
* Provide outpatient-focused care with flexible clinic scheduling
* Diagnose and manage a wide range of rheumatologic conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, gout, and connective tissue disorders
* Build long-term patient relationships while improving access to specialty care for an underserved population
* Work with a strong referral base from established primary care providers
* Practice Environment
* Practice within a 71-bed rural hospital with an established referral network
* Significant community need, with patients currently traveling long distances for care
* Opportunity for autonomy and leadership in program development
* Supportive, collaborative medical staff and administrative team
* Clinical Support & Resources
* Onsite laboratory and imaging services
* Infusion services available or opportunity to develop infusion program
* Strong care coordination and referral relationships with tertiary care centers
* Administrative support to grow and expand the service line
* Qualifications
* MD or DO eligible for Missouri medical licensure
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
* Eligible for hospital medical staff privileges
* Interest in rural medicine and program development preferred
