A New York City-based healthcare network is actively seeking a licensed Rheumatologist to join one of its practices in Queens.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (with one Saturday per month; day off the Monday after working a Saturday)
- Hours: 9am to 5pm (with one later day per week)
- Patient Volume: 2 to 3 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Review patient history and perform physical examinations
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide appropriate treatment and patient care
- Recommend and order lab tests including X-rays of the joints to determine extent of illness or help diagnose conditions
- Diagnose disorders and diseases of the musculoskeletal system and immune system.
- Diagnose and treat rheumatic disorders of the skeletal system, muscles, and joints
- Treat patients with rheumatic diseases including, but not limited to lupus, tendonitis, arthritis, myositis, scleroderma, and osteoporosis
- Prescribe anti-inflammatory drugs and other medications
- Formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in an Outpatient setting
- Current unrestricted NYS medical license
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Rheumatology
