Job description

Baptist Health is seeking a full-time Rheumatologist to join an established, high-demand practice in Jacksonville, Florida. This is an opportunity to step into a well-supported environment while still having room to shape and grow your practice.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This role offers the ideal balance of autonomy, support, and long-term stability — allowing you to focus on patient care while benefiting from the resources of a large, physician-led system.

  • Primarily outpatient practice with light inpatient consult responsibilities

  • Strong referral network and built-in patient demand

  • On-site infusion center

  • No pediatrics

  • Epic EHR

  • Access to a broad network of specialists for collaborative care

  • Dedicated marketing and administrative support

Designed for Career Growth

  • Opportunities for research through Baptist Research Institute

  • Teaching opportunities via academic affiliations

  • Ability to develop subspecialty interests

  • Leadership pathways within a growing service line

Compensation & Lifestyle

  • Competitive base salary plus productivity incentives

  • Generous commencement bonus

  • Relocation assistance

  • Malpractice coverage

  • 36 days PTO

  • Paid CME

  • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits

Practice Without the Administrative Burden

This hospital-employed model allows you to lead your clinical practice without the financial and operational pressures of private practice management.

Life in Jacksonville

Jacksonville offers coastal living with a major-city infrastructure — beaches, waterfront neighborhoods, professional sports, dining, and a lower cost of living than other Florida metro areas.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Rheumatology

  • Florida license (or ability to obtain)

  • DEA license

Ideal For

Physicians who want a stable, high-quality clinical environment with growth potential — whether early in their career or an experienced rheumatologist looking for a well-supported practice model.
