We’re seeking a BC/BE fellowship-trained Pediatric Radiologist to join our growing team as a Core Faculty Member in our new Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program. This position offers the chance to build a pediatric radiology curriculum, mentor the next generation of radiologists, and practice in a collaborative environment supported by leading technology—all while enjoying a flexible hybrid schedule and generous time away from work.

As a Core Faculty Member, you’ll have meaningful, protected non-clinical time dedicated to academic responsibilities—not squeezed in after hours.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

· Develop and lead the pediatric radiology curriculum for our new Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program

· Mentor residents in research and quality improvement projects

· Support resident presentations at state and national meetings

· Teach medical students and residents from other specialties

· Receive an academic appointment with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine

Enjoy a Balanced Clinical Practice

Your practice will include a rewarding mix of pediatric and adult imaging in a collaborative subspecialty environment.

Highlights include:

· Approximately 50% pediatric / 50% adult imaging

· Variety of subspecialty and general radiology cases

· Reading for a busy Level I Trauma Center and thrombectomy-capable stroke center

· Primarily weekday schedule (8:00 AM–5:00/6:00 PM)

· Swing shifts (Noon–8:00 PM) approximately once every three weeks

· Evening shifts (5:00 PM–11:00 PM) approximately once every three weeks

· Only three weekends per year

· No mammography requirements

You’ll also participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and quality improvement initiatives.

Benefits

Carilion Clinic offers compensation and comprehensive benefits package designed to support both professional and personal well-being.

• Compensation: Annual salary range of $531,000–$782,000, with additional earning potential through Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus programs. The posted salary range may not reflect the full value of the total compensation package. Historical average bonus earnings are included in the maximum posted salary.

• Paid Time Off: 10 weeks of vacation annually.
