Job description

Physician-Owned & Physician-Led Practice | Florida's Space Coast

Location: Melbourne, Florida
Specialty: Interventional Radiology
Practice Setting: Hospital-Based & Outpatient
Practice Model: Established Regional Physician-Led Group

Build a Full-Scope Interventional Radiology Practice on Florida's Space Coast

An established, physician-owned and physician-led regional medical practice is seeking an Interventional Radiologist to join its growing team on Florida's Space Coast.

This is an opportunity to build a genuinely clinical interventional radiology practice with a diverse procedural scope, dedicated procedural time, inpatient consultation responsibilities, outpatient clinic continuity, and longitudinal patient care.

Join a stable, growing referral network serving multiple hospitals and diagnostic centers throughout the region. Physicians interested in expanding existing interventional radiology capabilities, introducing new procedures, or developing thoughtfully planned service lines will have the opportunity to contribute to the practice's continued growth.

Physician-Owned and Physician-Led
Practice in an environment built around clinical autonomy, physician input, shared accountability, and long-term professional alignment.

Established Regional Referral Network
Serve patients across four Health First hospitals, Melbourne GI Center, and multiple freestanding diagnostic centers throughout the region.

Strong Earning Potential
Receive competitive annual compensation, with optional internal moonlighting and voluntary additional coverage opportunities for additional earning potential.

Clinical Flexibility
Work models are tailored to the needs of each radiology specialty and service line.

Long-Term Stability
Join a community-based medical organization that has served Florida's Space Coast since 2013.

Opportunity to Innovate
Help shape the future of interventional radiology services by expanding existing capabilities, introducing new procedures, and developing additional service lines.

Job Responsibilities

The position offers broad procedural exposure across vascular, nonvascular, oncologic, and musculoskeletal/spine interventions.

Responsibilities include:

Perform arterial, venous, and pulmonary embolism interventions within a diverse vascular practice.

Perform embolization procedures and complex central venous reconstruction.

Provide interventional oncology services, including tissue ablation.

Perform musculoskeletal and spine interventions consistent with training, credentialing, and clinical needs.

Provide comprehensive inpatient interventional radiology consultations.

Coordinate peri-procedural care with hospital-based physicians and multidisciplinary clinical teams.

Maintain an outpatient interventional radiology clinic and provide longitudinal follow-up for patients undergoing evaluation and treatment.

Collaborate with referring physicians and hospital teams to support appropriate patient selection, treatment planning, and follow-up.

Help develop and expand interventional radiology offerings and thoughtfully introduce new procedures and service lines.

Participate in internal moonlighting or voluntary additional coverage when desired and mutually agreed upon.

Qualifications

The ideal physician is interested in a comprehensive clinical interventional radiology practice rather than a procedure-only position.

You will thrive in this role if you:

Enjoy combining consultations, procedures, outpatient clinic, and longitudinal patient care.

Value procedural breadth and are interested in expanding or developing new service lines.

Communicate effectively with patients, referring physicians, hospital teams, and colleagues.

Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and a commitment to safe, evidence-based care.

Value physician leadership, autonomy, collegiality, and shared accountability.

Want to build a long-term career within a physician-led community practice.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include:

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Radiology.

Eligibility to obtain and maintain an unrestricted Florida medical license.

Appropriate procedural training and demonstrated clinical judgment.

Commitment to patient safety and evidence-based clinical care.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Current fellows who will complete the required training pathway are encouraged to apply.

Compensation & Benefits

Final compensation will be determined based on experience, training, schedule, coverage responsibilities, and final employment terms.

Additional benefits include:

Internal moonlighting opportunities.

Voluntary additional coverage for additional earning potential.

Medical insurance.

Dental insurance.

Vision insurance.

Guaranteed employer 401(k) contributions.

Paid time off.

CME allowance.
