Position Overview
An established, physician-owned radiology practice is adding Diagnostic Radiologists for permanent and locum tenens coverage.
The most urgent needs are during the afternoon, evening, and overnight hours. This is not an evening-only opportunity, however, and daytime coverage may also be considered.
This opportunity is fully remote for nonprocedural radiologists. Hybrid arrangements may be available for physicians interested in performing procedures onsite.
Available Remote Shifts
Current remote shift options include:
- 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
- 12:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.
- 4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m. – Priority coverage need
- 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. – Priority coverage need
Additional scheduling information:
- Potential 7-on/7-off scheduling for certain daytime and evening emergency coverage
- Locum physicians may propose the shifts and availability they can consistently cover
- Permanent schedules can be structured according to the employment agreement
- Schedules are generally finalized at least two months in advance
- Additional compensation may be available for evening, overnight, and weekend coverage
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide final interpretations for hospital-based imaging studies
- Remote workload is approximately 80% emergency department and 20% inpatient
- Work with a collaborative radiology team rather than routinely reading alone
- Communicate significant findings appropriately with referring clinicians
- Maintain timely and accurate reporting
Typical Case Mix
The modality mix depends on the assigned shift but generally includes:
- Approximately 40% CT
- Approximately 35–40% X-ray
- Approximately 20% ultrasound
- A smaller percentage of MRI and nuclear medicine studies
Some specialty examinations are included across the modalities. Radiologists may coordinate with colleagues and exchange cases when specialized expertise is needed.
Procedures and Subspecialty Coverage
- Procedures are not required for fully remote radiologists
- Subspecialty training is not required
- Neuroradiology, body imaging, and MSK experience are welcomed
- Procedural opportunities are available for qualified physicians interested in hybrid or onsite coverage
- Fully remote, nonprocedural radiologists are encouraged to apply
Compensation
- Very competitive salary and locums pay
- Compensation will be discussed based on experience, preferred schedule, and coverage commitment
- Enhanced compensation may be available for evening, overnight, and weekend shifts
- Internal moonlighting and voluntary additional coverage may provide further earning opportunities
No exact salary, hourly rate, daily rate, or RVU compensation structure has been established for this posting.

Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
- Eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license
- Comfortable reading a broad emergency and inpatient diagnostic mix
- Able to provide final interpretations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fellowship training is welcomed but not required
