Job Responsibilities
Prepare and appropriately position patients for CT and general radiology examinations.
Operate CT scanners, radiographic equipment, and related imaging technology safely and effectively.
Obtain diagnostic-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure and following ALARA principles.
Verify patient identity, physician orders, clinical history, and appropriate imaging protocols prior to procedures.
Explain procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support throughout examinations.
Evaluate images for technical quality and determine when additional images may be required.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of imaging procedures.
Follow established safety procedures regarding radiation protection, infection prevention, and contrast administration.
Recognize and respond appropriately to adverse reactions or changes in a patient's condition.
Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
Maintain imaging equipment and promptly report equipment or safety concerns.
Provide professional, compassionate care to patients across a variety of clinical situations.
Qualifications
ARRT certification required.
ARRT(R) – Registered Radiologic Technologist required.
ARRT(CT) – CT certification required.
Current BLS/BCLS certification required.
Must possess the clinical skills necessary to perform both CT and general radiographic imaging.
Strong understanding of radiation safety and patient positioning.
Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of the imaging and clinical team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to image quality and patient safety.
Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to accommodate a variable shift schedule.
Bilingual ability is not required.
H-1B visa details will be required when applicable.
Working Hours
Candidates should be comfortable with schedule flexibility and should discuss specific shift availability and scheduling expectations during the interview process.
Skills
Proficiency in patient positioning and obtaining high-quality diagnostic images.
Knowledge of CT protocols, anatomy, physiology, and cross-sectional anatomy.
Ability to operate CT scanners and general radiographic equipment safely and efficiently.
Strong understanding of radiation safety, ALARA principles, and patient protection.
Experience with proper preparation and monitoring of patients undergoing imaging procedures.
Knowledge of contrast administration and contrast safety protocols.
Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to potential contrast reactions or changes in patient condition.
Strong attention to detail and ability to evaluate images for diagnostic quality.
Excellent patient care and communication skills, including the ability to explain procedures and help patients feel comfortable.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining accuracy and patient safety.
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize imaging requests and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Effective communication and collaboration with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff.
Strong infection-control and equipment-safety practices.
Dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working variable shifts.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
