Job description

A facility in Wisconsin needs onsite locum tenens coverage with no call and no weekends. The facility offers a flexible schedule.

About the Assignment

  • Shifts: You'll work weekday day shifts, one or two weeks a month.
  • Volume and mix: The facility's census runs about 85 to 105 studies a day, counting MRI and mammography. The list leans on plain films, CT, and ultrasound, with very little nuclear medicine.
  • Optional reads: Reading MRI and mammography is a plus but not required, and you won't need to do procedures.
  • Onsite: The facility needs you on site and does not accept teleradiology.
  • Licensure: The facility accepts the IMLC.

Location and Lifestyle

Wisconsin runs from dairy farms and river towns to forests and lake country. On your days off, you can paddle or bike at one of Wisconsin's state parks.

About Interim Physicians

Ken Teufel, MD, founded the company that became Interim Physicians in 1979, a year after selling a solo family practice in small-town Texas to cover for physicians who couldn't get away. Dr. Teufel served as medical director for 42 years and was one of the founding fathers of locum tenens. The standards Dr. Teufel set still decide which physicians Interim presents to a facility.

Interim staff members average 14 years with the company, so the recruiter who places a physician is the same one who calls about the next assignment. Clinicians and facility clients have rated Interim 9 or 10 out of 10 often enough to earn ClearlyRated's Best of Staffing Diamond award.
