Job description
We are seeking Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Diagnostic Radiologists for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity with Essentia Health providing onsite coverage at Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center (Duluth) and Essentia Health Virginia in Minnesota.
This is an onsite-only position with no tele-radiology and no call responsibilities. Providers will work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, interpreting a high volume of diagnostic imaging studies while collaborating with multidisciplinary care teams. This assignment offers a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to practice at both a Level I Trauma Center and a Level IV Trauma Center.
Job Responsibilities
Provide timely and accurate radiology reports.
Support both inpatient and outpatient imaging services.
Consult with referring physicians regarding imaging findings and recommendations.
Maintain high-quality patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
Document interpretations using the Epic EMR system.
Follow departmental quality assurance and imaging protocols.
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology.
Active Minnesota medical license (or ability to obtain licensure).
Current DEA registration if required by state regulations.
Experience interpreting high-volume diagnostic imaging studies.
Comfortable working in both Level I and Level IV Trauma Center environments.
Epic EMR experience preferred.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Schedule: Monday–Friday
Shift Length: 8 hours per day
Average Workload: Approximately 110 imaging reads per day
Onsite Coverage Required: Yes (No Tele-radiology)

High-volume imaging workflow.
X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound interpretation.
Trauma imaging experience.
