Job description
A healthcare system is seeking a Board Certified Interventional Radiologist to provide long term onsite coverage supporting both interventional radiology procedures and general diagnostic imaging services. This opportunity requires a physician able to commit to an extended assignment with a consistent weekday procedural schedule and on call responsibilities.
The radiologist will perform a wide range of interventional procedures ranging from routine image guided interventions to advanced embolization procedures. In addition to procedural responsibilities, the physician will support general diagnostic imaging interpretation when appropriate. Physicians comfortable working in a busy hospital environment with both procedural and diagnostic responsibilities are encouraged to inquire.
Job Responsibilities
Qualifications
• Experience performing a broad range of interventional radiology procedures including advanced interventions
• Comfortable interpreting general diagnostic imaging studies when needed
• Active state medical license or ability to obtain
• Ability to support both procedural and diagnostic imaging workflows
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Working Hours
Weekday coverage is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST with weeknight call coverage required. Weekend coverage will consist of interventional radiology call responsibilities. Holiday call coverage will be assigned on a rotating basis.
The facility requires a physician able to commit to a full time onsite assignment for the duration of the coverage period rather than intermittent weekly coverage.
