Job description
A healthcare system is seeking two Interventional Radiologists to provide onsite coverage within a high volume hospital based interventional radiology program. This position offers a procedural focused environment with a consistent weekday schedule and additional call opportunities.
The interventional radiologist will work within a busy IR service performing a wide range of procedures across vascular and non vascular interventions. The site supports a high procedural volume with dedicated interventional suites and a strong clinical team. Physicians comfortable working in a fast paced procedural environment with a diverse IR case mix are encouraged to inquire.
Job Responsibilities
Qualifications
• Experience performing advanced interventional radiology procedures
• DEA required
• Comfortable working in a high volume procedural environment
• Active state medical license or ability to obtain
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Working Hours
Call coverage is required and includes weeknight and weekend call responsibilities.
Skills
• Y-90 radioembolization procedures
• Paracentesis
• Thoracentesis
• Fluoroscopy guided procedures
• Image guided vascular and non vascular interventions
Typical daily workflow includes 4 to 6 fluoroscopy cases per day and approximately 10 to 13 IR procedures per radiologist per shift, with 20 to 25 total procedures performed across the service daily.
