Job description
A healthcare system is seeking a Board Certified Interventional Radiologist to provide long term onsite coverage supporting a busy hospital based interventional radiology program. This position focuses primarily on higher complexity interventional procedures while working alongside an experienced clinical team that assists with lighter procedures and workflow support.
The interventional radiologist will primarily perform advanced IR procedures within a dedicated interventional suite that operates independently from cardiology services. A physician assistant supports the department and performs lighter IR procedures, allowing the physician to focus on higher level interventional work. When available, the radiologist may also interpret diagnostic imaging studies that fall within their comfort level. Physicians interested in a procedural focused role with strong clinical support are encouraged to inquire.

Qualifications
• Experience performing advanced interventional radiology procedures
• Comfortable working in a high demand procedural environment
• Willingness to support diagnostic reads when appropriate
• Active state medical license or ability to obtain
• Ability to travel between multiple imaging sites if required
Working Hours
This is a long term assignment supporting a high demand interventional radiology program. Evening call coverage is required with seven nights per week of call with call back as needed. Holiday coverage will be determined by the facility.
