General Radiology Opportunity Location: Alpena & Alma, Michigan Board-certified or board-eligible (ABR or AOBR) • Full-time, partnership-track position covering two sites with a 5 days on / 9 days off schedule • Alpena: 139-bed hospital on Lake Huron • Alma: 107-bed teaching hospital serving central Michigan; both affiliated with the University of Michigan • Total required work days per year: 130; days off: 234 • Travel between sites (~3 hours) required; location flexible but proximity and willingness to travel important Responsibilities – Alpena: • Interventional procedures: IR drain placements, lumbar punctures, FL arthrograms, GI FL, paras, thoras, CT/US-guided biopsies • Breast imaging: stereotactic and US-guided biopsies, screening and diagnostics • Average procedures per day: 11 • One full-time APP on site Responsibilities – Alma: • Breast imaging focus: screening/diagnostics, US and stereotactic biopsies, pre-surgical lesion localizations • Additional US procedures: thyroid nodule, lymph node, soft tissue biopsies, occasional cholecystostomy tube placement • CT-guided biopsies: lung, solid organ, soft tissue; abscess catheter and PICC placements • Occasional joint arthrograms, HSGs, and pain management injections • Average procedures per day: 9 • APP support 3 days per week Practice Highlights: • 100% physician-owned and managed, independent practice • Entrepreneurial environment with optional involvement in decision-making, committees, and academic activities • Opportunities to teach, mentor, and conduct research in affiliation with Michigan State University College of Medicine • Broad diagnostic volume with diverse clinical exposure Compensation & Benefits: • $50,000 recruitment incentive (sign-on bonus) • Competitive compensation with additional opportunities for extra shifts • $0 cost for medical/dental/vision coverage; $18,000 medical reimbursement account • Maximum 401K contribution ($70,000 in 2025) • Brand new 6-week paid parental leave • No evening or weekend responsibilities Requirements: • Board-certified or board-eligible (ABR or AOBR) • MQSA-certified with significant experience in breast imaging and procedures • Experience in basic IR procedures; fellowship preferred but significant practice experience accepted • Comfortable practicing autonomously in rural sites
