Radiology opportunity in Northern Michigan Full-time Position / Located in Alpena, MI • Seeking a general radiologist for a growing, physician-led practice • Practice provides radiology services across multiple sites throughout Michigan • Alpena site is a 139-bed medical center offering Level III trauma care • Occasional travel to other regional sites may be required Position options include: Standard track with 13 weeks of vacation Weekday daytime-only role (no evenings, weekends, or holidays) with 8 weeks of vacation • Responsibilities include interpretation of all imaging modalities, including mammography • Perform minor percutaneous interventions such as drainages and biopsies • Perform image-guided breast procedures, including stereotactic and ultrasound-guided biopsies and localizations • Breast diagnostics experience is a plus but not required • Physician-owned and physician-managed private practice model • Entrepreneurial environment with opportunities to participate in decision-making and business strategy • Optional involvement in committees, sections, and leadership from day one • Academic opportunities available, including teaching, mentoring residents, and research through an affiliated medical school • Broad diagnostic volume and diverse clinical exposure Competitive compensation package including: $50,000 recruitment incentive (sign-on bonus) Stipends for on-site shifts and opportunities for additional shifts $0 cost for single or family medical, dental, and vision coverage $18,000 annual medical reimbursement account Maximum annual employer contribution to retirement plan Brand new 6-week paid parental leave benefit • Alpena offers a low cost of living and exceptional outdoor lifestyle • Located on the shores of Lake Huron, with access to swimming, hiking, boating, and fishing • Growing downtown with cultural events and rich local heritage • Home to the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center and the world’s only freshwater National Marine Sanctuary Requirements: • Board-certified or board-eligible (ABR or AOBR) • Fellowship training preferred but not required with significant experience • Comfortable practicing autonomously in a rural setting
