This facility is a General Acute Care Hospital that is Stroke Certified, providing comprehensive medical services to the community. The hospital features modern diagnostic imaging capabilities with a full range of radiology services including interventional radiology, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and specialized breast imaging services.

Physician - Radiology - Interventional

Job Details:
• Schedule/Shift times: 8am-4:30pm, starting February 23 and 24 with ongoing coverage needs • Coverage includes hospital IR needs, Stroke CTs, and various procedures • Potential to cover outpatient building (Building 4) for contrasted CT/MRI studies and breast biopsies • Perform lumbar punctures, barium studies, and various centesis exams with drains • Conduct CT/US biopsies and IR procedures including thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, intra-abdominal abscess drainage, chest tubes, and suprapubic catheters • Handle various biopsies including thyroid, lung, and others • Support acute care imaging including stroke CTs, ED and ICU imaging studies • Work with Cerner EMR system with support from diagnostic imaging nurses and techs • Expected workload: ~50 studies/day + 4-6 procedures/day (12-15 CTs, 15-20 X-rays, 8-12 ultrasounds, 4-6 IR procedures) • Predominantly non-complex IR with majority being percutaneous procedures (biopsies, drains, aspirations) • Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology • Active California medical license and CA Fluoroscopy license required • BLS and DEA certification needed during credentialing • Clean malpractice history preferred • On-call and weekend coverage responsibilities included • Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation required

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
