The GV Sonny Montgomery VA Medical Center is seeking a dynamic Radiologist to provide exceptional care to our nation’s Veterans. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with a talented team of radiologist and contribute to advancing cardiovascular care in a compassionate, mission-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a spectrum of image interpretation, image-guided procedures, and patient care services. (No Interventional Radiology or Mammography responsibilities).
  • Contribute to quality assurance and performance improvement.
  • Oversight of technical quality.
  • Education of staff and trainees.
  • Committee assignments.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Job Responsibilities

We offer:
Likely starting base salary range: $350,000.00 - $400,000.00
Malpractice: Liability protection
50-55 days of annual paid time offer per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)

Qualifications

Board Certified/Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology.

Fellowship training in Musculoskeletal, Body or Neuroradiology preferred but not required.

Strong commitment to serving Veterans and improving healthcare outcomes.

Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.

Ability to manage clinical and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.

Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.

Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or

Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.

Working Hours

Monday - Friday 08:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Light on-call responsibility

Skills

Desirable skills set include the ability to interpret the following: Musculoskeletal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), Lung cancer screening chest computed tomography (CT) (apply Lung- RADS), Liver/HCC screening MRI (apply LI-RADS), Prostate MRI (apply PI- RADS), Renal mass MRI, Rectal MRI and/or Thyroid US (apply TI-RADS).
